Swindon-based finance company Zurich have sold their training centre in Wanborough which is also home to Swindon Town’s training facilities, however the club will remain at the site.
It was thought that the new buyer would not want Swindon Town at the site and the club would have to look for a new training facility.
Many players who come to the site are impressed by the facilities housed at the centre so the news that Swindon Town will remain there comes as a welcome boost.
Marston Hotel Group who have bought the complex have said they want to turn it into a hotel and sporting centre.
A spokesman for Swindon Town F.C confirmed that talks have started with Marston Hotel Group, ‘We have spoken to the group and the new owners. ‘The talks have been positive so far. I think there’s certainly scope for the club to continue using the grounds to train, which is good news for the club.’
