Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock is hoping to secure the signature of Hull defender Sam Collins on loan within the next 24 hours according to the Swindon Advertiser.

Collins is looking to regain match fitness after suffering a micro-fracture in his knee cap last season. Collins only featured in 8 games last season for Hull and has been made available for loan to regain match fitness.

Collins has had spells at Bury, Port Vale and Huddersfield prior to arriving at Hull.

Hasney Aljofree will be out for 4-6 weeks after suffering a knee injury at Hartlepool and Sturrock see’s Collins as the perfect cover after Chris Blackburn failed to impress last Saturday against Bournemouth.
