Vital Swindon Town visitors have voted and named their top news story of the season relating to Swindon Town.

Over 75% of visitors named Andrew Fitton’s takeover of the club in January as the top news story.

Finishing second with 11% of the vote was the ridiculous BEST Holdings saga that threatened the very existence of the club.

The third top news story of the year was the news that manager Paul Sturrock departed the club and returned to Plymouth Argyle after Ian Holloway turned his back on the Argyle fans to relegate (almost) Leicester City.

Finally 3% of visitors voted that the players threatening to strike over unpaid wages and the protests against the previous board was the top news story of the 2007/08 season.
