Swindon Town chairman Andrew Fitton has revealed that the club is likely to redevelop the current stadium instead of moving to a completely new site.

For years Swindon Town have been trying to build a new stadium however lack of funds and downright ridiculous plans has seen most plans scuppered within hours of being released really.

Fitton told BBC Radio Swindon, ‘No decision has been made about whether to re-develop the County Ground or move to a completely new site, But it seems the first option is the preferred one.’

It seems most fans would expect the club to replace the Town End with a larger stand, make a smaller stand where the Stratton Bank is so not to block neighbouring houses light and build a new Arkells Stand which would have private boxes viewing the pitch. The Don Rogers Stand would remain as it.
