Swindon Town are considering taking legal action against the Football League Paper after the ran an article entitled ‘Swindon The CHEATS who really prospered’.

The paper would go on to say Town basically bought themselves the League Two title and for every player they took on, another didn’t get paid. Another sensationalist quote states,’Swindon virtually cheated their way out of the division”.

Both former Town chairman Jeremy Wray and Chief Executive Nick Watkins have stated they have read the article and are considering their position. Swindon Town are currently believed to be around £13M in debt however this is shareholders debt alone.

Nick Watkins explained that Administration wasn’t an option despite some of the local media getting excited and that the club is fully up to date with all it’s bills to players, staff, HMRC and the banks.

Many Town fans have already acted and wrote to the paper which in all honesty I was a regular buyer, we now urge Town fans to boycott this garbage and maybe spend the £1.50 asking price towards something at the club.
