Swindon Town have advanced to the final of the Wiltshire Shield after defeating Salisbury City 4-2 this afternoon at Tidworth.

Blair Sturrock opened the scoring for Town on the 2nd minute followed by goals from David Stroud, and Leigh Henry.

The game was David Byrne’s first in charge of Swindon’s youth setup.

The teams drew 1-1 at the County Ground 2 weeks ago. Swindon Town now have a chance to win their second trophy of the year after winning the Copa Ibiza under former boss Dennis Wise in the Summer.
