Craig Rocastle who appeared set to sign with Swindon and even trained with the club with picture of him on the official site has joined Yeovil Town.

Speaking of the clubs dissapointment in stringing them along, Deputy Chairman Mark Devlin cleared things up this morning.

The player (Rocastle) was aware that there were others interested but had told Iffy Onuora he wanted to sign here.

?I was made aware of the situation at 3.45 yesterday afternoon and I think it?s fair to say we?re hugely disappointed.’

?In football none of us should be surprised by anything but the timing, bearing in mind the transfer situation, is just incredible.’

Devlin went on to emphasise that manager Iffy Onuora has no time now to look for replacements. He also reveals that the club may have missed out on another player, rumoured to be vetern striker Steve Claridge. ?It leaves Iffy with very little time to try and explore other routes and it could be that some of those on his list, having not been pursued initially, may now be sorted elsewhere.?

Clardige is poised to sign with Walsall now, and would have been the experienced face the club desperatly requires.
