Preston (North) End Sheehan Interest

Want-away defender Alan Sheehan has failed to earn a contract with Preston North End.

Sheehan played two games for Preston’s reserve team. The first a 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley at Bamber Bridge and the 5-3 loss to Sunderland reserves in ToteSport Cup semi-final clash at the Academy of Light.

However, the former Irish under-21 has failed to earn himself a deal and will now need his agent to get back on the phone.

Sheehan is one of Town’s better players when he puts his mind to it, sadly it’s not often the case. His decision to take the trial instead of seeing out the season with Swindon has probably killed any chances of him staying at Town… Although it’s not as if he would want to stay on anyway!
