Despite several rumours that striker Lee Peacock has a relegation release clause we can reveal this is not true, however the club did offer one to secure his services.

Lee Peacock appeared from the players entrace Saturday and had a half hour discussion with irate fans outside of the ground and revealed that he will definatly be back at Swindon Town next season regardless what division the club is in.

Peacock said that he was offered a relegation release clause when he signed his contract in January however turned this down. This was probably due to the fact that Peacock wants to be closer to his family in the South.

Peacock showed his passion and commitment for the club, saying that he had seen players doing things in training and playing well, however they did not carry this into games.

Peacock also revealed after the season he will be having an operation on his knee to finally rid himself of the problems he has had lately with his knee.

In a good note for Swindon fans, Peacock said he cannot wait to play Oxford United should Town get relegated.

When told he would be a Swindon legend should he score the winner against Oxford, he replied, ‘I can’t wait’.
