Swindon Town striker turned midfielder Lee Peacock is keen to sign a new contract at the County Ground that will see out his career as a Swindon Town player.

Peacock joined Town during the 2005/06 League One relegation season from Sheffield Wednesday and became an instant hit at the County Ground since day one with his work rate.

The tattoo ridden midfielder told the Swindon Advertiser, ‘I am over the moon the gaffer wants me to stay for so many reasons. I know I have already said I want to stay, but I really, really do.

‘I can’t wait to get sorted. I would have loved to have signed a new contract in the summer and even then I wanted to sign for longer.

‘Hopefully the gaffer has seen enough of me now. We have started talking and I would love to get things sorted quickly. The longer I stay here the better as far as I am concerned.’

Peacock along with Craig Easton have formed an incredible partnership in the middle of the park for Swindon and Peacock is keen for the progress on the pitch alongside Easton continues.

Swindon Town are also in negotiations with Miguel Comminges to extend his stay at the County Ground.
