Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock spoke to the media after Swindon’s 2-1 win over Bury at the County Ground this afternoon.

‘I am pleased. It was an end to end game but the wind made it difficult. We got the luck didn’t we but we got our reward at the end. We had tried to get crosses into the box and when we hit our strikers, both from crosses and through the middle, we were a much better side.

‘Our discipline as a team in terms of positioning and organization has been poor though and that’s something I want to change here.

‘We have a squad of players that are adaptable which is key. Michael Timlin did well and looked bright. He had a good debut and impressed. However long he is here we are pleased with him.

‘Christian Roberts got himself into the right area for the last goal and played a neat one two. He had a go and it finished in the back of the net. Schmeichel made a fantastic save from him earlier in the afternoon but Christian caused problems for them.

‘Going second is fantastic news but we want to keep the pressure up. All of a sudden we now have the FA Cup next weekend and we have to get our attitude right. Morecambe will come here wanting to put us out and our attentions now turn to that.
