Swindon Town midfielder Andy Nicholas has put pen to paper on a years contract keeping him at the County Ground until the end of the 2007/08 season.
Nicho who is Town`s longest serving player had been rumoured to be moving to Edgeley Park to join Stockport County however manager Paul Sturrock was keen to hold onto one of his best players of the 2006/07 Promotion winning season.
Town midfielder Michael Pook and striker Blair Sturrock are still locked in negotiations with Sturrock on a new deal.
