The latest player to be linked to Swindon Town is Stockport County defender Johnny Mullins.

The former Reading trainee could join alongside teammate Michael Rose, who has also been strongly linked to Swindon in the last week.

Mullins started his professional career with Reading before leaving in 2006 without playing a game. His career with the Royals was mostly spent out on loan with two lengthy loan spells with Kidderminster Harriers.

A couple of seasons with Mansfield Town followed but despite impressing he could help in preventing the Stags from falling into Non-League.

Mullins joined Stockport County in 2008, playing 69 times. However, his time at Edegeley Park coincided with off-the-field problems which meant Johnny Mullins experienced further relegation woes.
