Former Swindon Town manager Lou Macari has wished his formed club the best of luck ahead of Town’s match against Mansfield Tomorrow.

Macari told fans that he hopes that everything ends well and Town are promoted at the County Ground Tomorrow which will enable fans to party at home.

Macari who was at the County Ground between 1984-1989 told the fans at the Moonrakers pub that he still looks out for Swindon`s results, but doesn`t regret the timing of his departure from the club.

Macari along with former Swindon Town player and now publican Phil King entertained fans as supporters were given the chance to quiz Macari and ask him questions about his reign at the club.

The former Town boss was very open with the fans and answered everything including the financial irregularities which would eventually see Swindon Town demoted 2 divisions after beating Sunderland 1-0 at Wembley Stadium in the Division Two playoff final in 1990. The club would eventually be relegated one division upon appeal.

Lou went on to explain how many players had potential but failed to reach it, Leon Knight being one of them whilst he was manager at Huddersfield Town.

An auction was held at the end of the evening for the Red Army Fund.
