Fitton Talks Greer

Andrew Fitton has denied that any bids have come in for Gordon Greer from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Apparently both Brighton chairman along with Sky Sports have claimed that at least two bids have been made by the Seagulls.

However, the firgure of £250,000 reported falls short of the £450,000 the Swindon Advertiser are reporting in the asking price.

Talking to the Advertiser, the Swindon chairman reiterated that ‘everything has its price, and any club below halfway down the Premier League is a selling club, but that is not to say that anybody is for sale… You can never rule out anything, but I am not expecting us to sell our prized assets . I haven`t had any bids and I`m not looking to sell.’

Obviously, it’s a case of who is telling the truth. Are Brighton trying to unsettle Greer? Are Sky Sports simply trying to make a story out o’d a non-story? Are Swindon trying to keep things quiet?
