The Western Daily Press is reporting that Colin Calderwood will be the top choice to replace Maurice Malpas as Swindon manager if he is sacked this weekend.

Calderwood a former defender for Swindon has always stated his desire to manage Swindon Town.

Calderwood’s current club, Nottingham Forest are rock bototm of the Championship and rumours are circulating that a loss today against Barnsley will mark the end of Calderwood’s management tenure at The City Ground.

Billy Davies had been widely expected to replace Calderwood in the week however this failed to happen and it is understood that it is D-Day for Calderwood.

Nottingham Forest fans are keen for ‘The Fridge’ as he was known as at Swindon to leave the City Ground after being unimpressed by his style of play.
