There hasn’t been much news lately on the County Ground Redevelopment however, we can reveal that Swindon Town FC along with Swindon Councillors, members of Trust STFC and members of the Red Army Loud and Proud crew will meeting with Reading Football Club and Reading Councillors in the next couple of weeks to discuss the way forward.

The main objective of this meeting is to discuss how to get around the problems that Reading F.C had while trying to build Madjeski Stadium which is located near the M4 and how to make the planned redevelopment legal.

Swindon Town have been at the County Ground for over 100 Years and are threatening to leave the Borough of Swindon and move to a location believed to be to the west of Swindon if redevelopment of the stadium does not get the go ahead.

Town have had many Stadium proposals turned down in the past, including proposals to build at Shaw Tip and the Front Garden.

The club have recently started a new campaign titled ‘SAY YES TO COUNTY GROUND REDEVELOPMENT’ which aims to bring awareness to the clubs current situation and to get support from fans and the local community to build a new 20,000 seat stadium to house the financially striken football club.
