The Swindon Advertiser is reporting that a groundshare with Bristol Rovers at Swindon is unlikely after violence that erupted between the 2 sets of fans last season.

In Today’s Swindon advertiser it is quoted as saying ‘despite Pirates’ chairman Ron Craig declaring that Town were one of the ‘prime contenders’ to accommodate Rovers next season, the Advertiser believes a deal is now unlikely to be done at the County Ground.’

The Western Daily Press however paints a different picture saying that it is likely that Bristol Rovers will groundshare at Swindon Town despite a plea from Swindonsupporters to reject any such proposal.

If this is the case this will come as welcome news to fans who had feared attacks on Town fans during Rovers home games.
