Swindon Town goalkeeper Tyrell Belford started for a Town against Creepy Crawley on Tuesday and got a torrent of abuse from a section of support in the Town send.

The abuse appeared to come from Belford’s reluctance to smash the ball forward instead opting to play a short game which immediately seemed to put Town under pressure.

Belford is 19 and still learning his craft and keep in mind this was only his second league appearance.

Town fans have always loved a scapegoat and despite the defence being poor, the keeper got the most stick.

The current Swindon Town board are skint. The type of player we will sign are young players with potential so Town fans need to realise things will be frustrating but with a bit of support out young team may well come good.
