Match reaction from Swindon Town caretaker manager Ady Williams.

‘Christian came back into the side because Alex had been struggling with a bad back on Thursday and Friday. ‘Robbo’ did well and looked good for someone who had been out for so long.

‘Paul Evans was another one who came straight back in and he lasted the whole 90 minutes. You know what you are going to get from him and he did ok.’

illiams spoke about Town’s defending on an afternoon which saw the caretaker manager leave himself out of the starting line-up.

‘When we scored our first goal I thought it was going to be one of those afternoons, but it wasn’t to be. To concede so soon after scoring was really disappointing.

‘The lads have been outstanding at the back all season – whoever has been in there – but we can’t concede goals like that. The defending wasn’t good enough and to lose 2-1 at home is hugely disappointing. On quite a few occasions this season we have conceded possession and been hit on the break.

‘Aaron Brown had a chance in the second half but we had a lot of efforts today. I thought Aaron did very well today and Jack Smith got some good balls in too. At the moment the difference is that we are not throwing ourselves in there to get on the end of things.

‘The last goal we conceded wasn’t good. Again it’s difficult to comment before I have seen the video but we shouldn’t be having Jack in a one on one being so isolated.

‘We had a real good go at them today but we conceded two good goals. Perhaps we are lacking a bit of belief but I can assure you that the build-up to the game was good. We worked hard and put things into practice. We will look at the video and find out where we went wrong.’
