Danny Wilson has offered a trial to former Bath City midfielder Yan Klukowski.
The 21 year old is a Chippenham native and former England Schoolboys international.
Klukowski started his career within Bath City’s youth set-up and was considered one of the brightest hopes at Twerton Park.
However, after 14 senior appearances and brief stint with Chippenham Town he accepted a scholarship in the United States for Central Connecticut State University.
While at CCSU Klukowski earned various accolades.
2005: Was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year and selected in the First Team All-Conference Selection. Only NorthEastern Conference player to be awarded both ‘Player of the Week’ and ‘Rookie of the Week’ honours.
2006: During the year Klukowsi produced more assists than any other that season with 0.73 per game.
He was named in the All-NEC First Team for the second time and also received 2nd team NSCAA All-North Atlantic Region honours. He services was awarded by represented Great Britain at World University Games in Thailand.
2007 Was CCSU’s Captain and was named in the All-NEC Second Team and the NSCAA All-North Atlantic Region 1st Team.
Aug 2008: Named on the 2008 NSCAA Hermann Trophy Watch List. This 48 man shortlist which was won by AaB striker Marcus Tracy is considered highest individual honour in U.S. intercollegiate soccer.
Other players on that list include current U.S. international Sam Cronin and his Toronto teammate Stefan Frei. Also on list was Omar Gonzalez now of the L.A. Galaxy, Leeds United’s Mike Grella, D.C. United forward Chris Pontius, Seattle Sounders’ Steve Zakuani and a host of other players on the brink of starting their Major League Soccer careers.
More recently Klukowski has been playing for Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Second Division. He started the Summer of trial with Carlisle United.
United boss Gregg Abbott rated Klukowski but ultimately felt that he did not improve his side.
Klukowski will be trying to earn a contract alongside Bradley Clark.
Hungerford Town striker Bradley Clark has earned himself a trial at the club after impressing Danny Wilson in the recent 3-0 friendly win this week.
Talking to local press Wilson praised Clark for giving Jerel Ifil and Sean Morrison a tough time and now could become a team mate.
Both should feature against the Swindon Supermarine next week.
Meanwhile, other trialists Stephen Morrison and Anton Ademole have failed to earn deals and have moved on.
