The Daily Mirror is reporting that Wolverhampton have made a £300,000 bid for Swindon Town goalkeeper Peter Brezovan.

Brezovan joined Swindon from FC Brno in the summer for a fee rumoured to be around £50,000 however he has found his first team chances limited after the emergence of Phil Smith last season at the County Ground.

Brezovan`s only game this season came against Charlton Athletic where Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was in attendance.

Brezovan was a revelation last season and came to the County Ground under former boss Dennis Wise but his season soon came to an end after suffering a broken arm against Grimsby Town.

The sale of Brezovan would make sense as Phil Smith looks as if he will not be giving up the number 1 shirt any time soon.

The sale of Brezovan if true would give the club more money to spend on trying to lure Jermaine Easter to the County Ground from League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.

In our opinion a keeper of Brezovan`s calibre should be playing for someone`s first team however Phil Smith should be also and has done nothing wrong this season.
