Wilson Begins Transfer Hunt

Swindon Town boss Danny Wilson has indicated that he is looking to strengthen his squad in the coming weeks.

Talking to the STFC official website, Wilson stated that he has ‘made initial enquiries about players and seeing their availability.

Although Wilson has warned that signings may not come into fruition, he did suggest that he intends ‘to add to the squad prior to the Stockport game, but we will see how things go”.

Meanwhile, the Evening Advertiser has suggested that Wilson is preparing to sharpen his metaphoric axe with a possible four victims set to depart the County Ground. The Evening Advertiser has suggested that Maurice Malpas signings Lilian Nalis and Kasali Yinka Casal could be on their way out along with fringe players Blair Sturrock and Michael Pook.

It is indeed anyones guess as to who Wilson will allow to leave. When Paul Sturrock came in, among the first to go were Andy Monkhouse and Fola Onibuje who both enjoyed good stints in the first team before being axed.

It should be an interesting month.
