Vital Swindon Town takes a look at just who are, Colchester United ahead of this Saturday`s clash at the County Ground.

Colchester United currently play their home games at the new £15M Colchester Community Stadium, also known as the Weston Homes Community Stadium for sponsorship purposes. The U`s only started playing their this season after spending 98 at Layer Road. If the club were to go forward a stadium with decent facilities was needed despite having an emotional attachment to Layer Road.

Colchester`s highest ever League finish came during the 2006-07 season when Colchester finished 10th in the Coca Cola Championship. Former Town player and complete waste of space, Jamie Cureton was instrumental in their high finish that season when he finally remembered where the goal was a season after leaving Swindon Town.

Colchester`s most famous footballing moment had to be in the 1971 FA Cup where Colchester beat Don Revie`s Leeds United 3-2 in the 5th round.

Colchester`s main rivals are Southend United and Ipswich Town however many U`s fans consider Wycombe Wanderers to be rivals going back to their days in the Footabll Conference.
