Weston Hoping For Leeds Contract

Free agent midfielder Curtis Weston who has been training with Leeds United after being released by Swindon is hoping to make his trial permanent.

United have been hit with a transfer embargo which prevents them from signing any players due to uncertainty around the clubs future, however, this doesn`t appear to have stopped Weston wanting to sign with the former Premiership giants.

Speaking to the Leeds United official website Weston said,

‘I had another year at Swindon but things weren’t working out with the manager there, so my contract was cancelled and I came here. ‘ referring to the problems that were documented between Town manager Paul Sturrock and Curtis Weston.

Weston demanded to be released from his Swindon contract after Sturrock stated that he had an idea how Weston should play, whilst Weston had his own ideas.

Weston was soon told to find a new club and was given his release.

Weston continued, ‘Wisey told me to come here. I’ve been with him twice before (at Swindon and Millwall). Leeds United is a massive club and I want to play here.’
