Danny Wilson has today admitted his firm interest in Bristol City striker Lee Trundle.

The Liverpool born striker however is thought to want to stay in the Championship, but given his lack of opportunities with City, he may have to find his form at a lower level again.

The 32 year old joined Bristol City from Swansea in 2007, but never found the form which made him so popular and admired whilst with the Swans where he scored at a rate of over a goal every other game.

For first team football, Lee Trundle joined fellow League One side Leeds United on loan in January and scored 1 goal in 10 games.

It is not known how Trundle would react to a serious bid from Danny Wilson, but it looks certain that City want to offload their striker before the window shuts.

The idea of bringing in an overweight, overhyped, soon-to-be 33 year old on a permanent basis makes me very nervous… But I’d probably be nervous whoever we were tracking!

Looking at our squad at the moment, any potential signing has to be good news!

trundle is a class player going a tough time , as he will cost virtually nothing i think he is worth taking a chance on . Lets not forget a swansea he was known as the best player outside of the premiership

There is no offer on the table, but I think it’s encouraging that we are looking at good quality players

There’s never been talk of a bid… Wilson has mentioned “beavering away” and that is it.
