Swindon Town have signed midfielder Jon-Paul McGovern on a permanent basis from Milton Keynes Dons.

McGovern made 56 appearances for the Dons and scored four goals.

McGovern was an influencial player in Sheffield Wednesday’s promotion to the Championship under manager Paul Sturrock and has signed a three year deal at the County Ground.

McGovern will not be available to play against Crewe due to his registration coming too late.

McGovern spent time at Sheffield Wednesday and Livingston before joining MK Dons for the 2006/07 season.

True – but don’t forget we have off loaded quite a few too, hopefully these are better quality too. i think the experience of JP Mc will be a good signing. I’m sure PS builds his teams from the back.
