Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has confirmed that he will sign goalkeeper Peter Brezovan on a permanent basis from FC Brno.

Brezovan has been out injured since breaking his arm against Grimsby prior to the departure of Dennis Wise and Town fans have been keen to know the future of the injured keeper.

Speaking to the official website swindontownfc.co.uk Sturrock said, ‘Peter continues his recovery and hopefully he will be back training with the first team before the end of the season, but we don’t want to put him at any risk of a recurrence of the injury by forcing him into competitive action too early, He will be a Swindon player next season so there will be plenty more to come from him I’m sure,’

This will be a huge boost to Town fans who were pleasantly surprised by the Slovak keeper who joined Swindon on loan from FC Brno in the summer under Dennis Wise.

Brezovan made an instant impression saving 2 penalties on the first day of the season in Town`s 1-0 win over Hartlepool United.
