Swindon Town interim chairman Jeremy Wray has confirmed that the club have received a few offers for out of favour striker Leon Clarke.
Some fans had stated they had seen Clarke at Town`s FA Cup second round clash with Colchester in with the Swindon Fans which had some fans speculating that Clarke had kissed and made up with Paolo Di Canio.
Those rumours soon ended after Di Canio said he didn`t want Clarke back and hoped that he went back to Chesterfield last week.
Among the clubs vying to sign Clarke are Chesterfield where Clarke recently had a decent loan spell before returning to the County Ground on Monday. Chesterfield boss John Sheridan has made no secret of his desire to bring Clarke back to the B2Net Stadium.
Town are hoping for a permanent deal so Paolo Di Canio can use Clarke`s wages towards the targets he hopes to sign in January although the club will happily allow Clarke to leave on loan once again should the club who take him on loan pay a sizeable chunk of the misfit strikers wages.
