Town right back Nathan Thompson has signed a new one year deal with the club.

Thompson, 20, only featured 3 times for the senior side last season despite being constantly around the set-up.

His big opportunity came when Paul Bodin was made caretaker manager during the latter stages of the campaign. Thompson impressed on the final day victory at Tranmere Rovers.

Also committing to the club is 3rd choice goalkeeper Mark Scott who has verbally agreed to stay at the County Ground, like Thompson, until the Summer of 2012.

I hope the club have an option to extend. If he becomes a regular and impressed then clubs will begin to circulate like Reading with Sean Morrison.
