Swindon Town’s race to 6,000 season tickets looks to be nearing the end as the club announced they have sold just under 5,000 season tickets for the forthcoming season.

Should the club not sell 1,000 season tickets today, season ticket prices will be at the higher rate for this season.

Town chief executive Nick Watkins has told the local media however that that club may extend the 6,000 season ticket deadline through the weekend to increase the chances of selling 6,000 season tickets.

It`s not all negative though. Town have increased their season ticket total on the last few season and therefore the initiative even if we fail to reach 6k, should be seen as a success.
