Swindon Town defender Ady Williams is set to undergo an operation on his troublesome knee which will end his season.

In what has been a very quiet week at Swindon Town, finally some noteworthy news comes to light.

Williams has been rock solid at the heart of Town`s defence however a knee injury which is worse than first feared will sideline the veteran defender until the end of the current season.

Speaking to the press Williams brings us up to date about his current condition, ‘I will be having the cruciate reconstruction surgery on March 27 and then it is a case of rest and starting on the rehabilitation.’

Williams who is also Swindon’s captain, has stated he has no plans to retire due to the injury.
