Swindon Town have had their total transfer embargo lifted by the Football League, Andrew Fitton has revealed to STFC World.

Fitton told STFC World that the club have made agreements with creditors and the Inland Revenue and the Football League are now set to lift the total embargo imposed by the Football League in October.

The Football League have now given Swindon a flexible embargo which allows them to sign and loan players with approval of the Football League.

The club must also report back to the Football League to advise they have kept their word and paid off all creditors.

The flexible embargo will be lifted on the 31st May subject to all the agreements being met between Fitton’s consortium and the Football League.
