Swindon Town chairman Willie Carson has admitted that if Leeds United come in for manager Dennis Wise, he will let Wise leave.
Wise who has now become favourite to replace the sacked Kevin Blackwell at Elland Road had signed a three year contract at the County Ground during the Summer.
Wise is very close to Leeds chairman Ken Bates after the two formed a close relationship at Chelsea.
Speaking on a possible departure of Wise, Swindon Town chairman Willie Carson said the club will grant permission to Leeds to talk to Wise, ‘Of course I would say he can talk to them. That’s just common courtesy and nobody is going to get upset about it.
‘Obviously Dennis has a contract with us and we do not want him to leave. But if a Premiership or Championship club comes along then let’s hear what they have to say.’
‘We have not heard anything from Leeds and I would say that is good news.
‘It would be a shame if Dennis left us so early, but I understand that if a big club with lots of money came along, it might be hard to keep hold of him.’
Speaking on the rumours of going to Leeds, Wise was very tight lipped and played it down after training yesterday. ‘I don’t let it (speculation) effect me and it is not an excuse for the players either,’

I think Wisey will stay, because I think the person who is the Leeds caretaker manager at the moment will get the nod – watchout though if he fails to make an impression.
Why doesn’t carson go noone wants him here, who cares what he has to say he wasn’t interested in the club before so why doesn’t he just trot off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t think Wise will go. Ken Bates has given his backing to Carver, I reckon he is first choice.
The anti wise chants from leeds fans will hopefully mean that Wise will stay here.
