Swindon Town have today mutually agreed to terminate the contract of striker Nile Ranger following a disciplinary meeting on Thursday.

Ranger was caught on TV allegedly hitting a woman but charges were never brought on the striker.

Ranger was however charged with criminal damage which he pleaded not guilty too.

The result is the right one after fans had turned on the player saying enough was enough for his off the field antics.

A statement from Swindon Town Football Club confirmed the following.

‘FOLLOWING on from yesterday’s disciplinary meeting with Nile Ranger and his PFA representative, Swindon Town Football Club can confirm that both the Club and Nile Ranger have mutually agreed to a termination of Nile’s contract with immediate effect.’
