Swindon Town have announced they have signed former Swansea City defender Kevin Amankwaah to a 2 year contract.

Amankwaah joins from Swansea City who won League One last season after seeing his playing chances limited.

Brighton and Hove Albion were interested in signing the big defender who spent time at Torquay United, Cheltenham Town, Bristol City and Yeovil Town before joining Swansea City.

Amankwaah’s mother, Rose, represented Ghana in the Commonwealth Games, gaining a Bronze medal in the 4 X 100m relay in 1974 in Christchurch, New Zealand.
