It’s pre-season at Swindon Town, but already some players are a bit banged up after a fast paced training regime that has been put in place by manager Dennis Wise.
Andy Gurney is going to see a specialist after feeling sore after doing some light impact work. Gurney had surgery six weeks ago to sort out a bone spur in his ankle.
Christian Roberts and Andy Monkhouse both missed training yesterday.
Roberts was out with a tight calf and Monkhouse had a mild thigh strain.
Both Monkhouse and Roberts were expected to return to training today.

monkhouse is always injured if you listen to rotherham fans
no gain without pain –
Let’s hope that Monkhouse get’s all his injuries out of the way before the season starts.
well lol it’s never good when the players get injured before the games but in other cases it is, because they could be better before season
hope he is not going to a sicknote.
Lee Peacock could be another good player for us if he stays away from injury. seems to me to be quite keen on doing his bit for the club, and with his experience is good for the youngsters.
i think peacock and roberts could really pull through for us this year
