Swindon Town are now officially free of any historic debt as Andrew Fitton paid the clubs outstanding CVA payment on Friday.

Town had been fighting for their very future until Andrew Fitton`s consortium took over in January and things go from good to better as the historical CVA payment is finally out of the way.

When Fitton took over, his consortium had to pay half the CVA with the remainder to be paid by the 31st May.

This payment has now been made meaning that 99.9% of the club`s debt is now gone.

Town will now be able to have a vote at FA meetings as well as apply for grants from the FA, such as a stadium grant should they wish to update the aging County Ground.

The future has never looked better for Swindon Town.

Let`s look forward towards a push to the Championship next season.

After years of deceit and double talk its so good to see and read this news, a sign that AF & Co. have kept us not only informed but kept their promises todate. We thank them for this and hopefully the confidence will seep back into the club and supporters and we back them in their major efforts to turn this club around.

This is great news but remember it doesn’t mean more money to spend… Now lets repay them by reaching the 6K mark.
