Manager Rating
Maurice Malpas – 9/10 Malpas put out a good team today and finally we have seen the kind of football Malpas likes to play. Very pleasing to the eye. If we keep playing as we did today we will have aa very good season indeed.

Opponent Rating
Ronnie Moore – 6/10 Moores’s side looked very poor at the back and the goal keeper was incredibly bad however the first choice keeper was not available. A bit of diving by Tranmere’s players however all in all Tranmere looked rather nervous and once Paynter scored the first goal the players head’s seemed to drop.

Atmosphere
A bit flat considering how well the team played. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was just getting back into it, who knows? Many of the main people who created the atmosphere may have moved to the other stands from the Town End considering how low ticket prices were.
