Danny Wilson’s tenure at Swindon Town got off to the worst possible start and Town now slip closer to the relegation places after a disastrous afternoon at the County Ground where Town had no shots on targets.

A Nicky Forster brace put an end to any optimism around the County Ground this afternoon and now Danny Wilson will have 2 weeks to assess his squad before Town take on Stockport County in about 2 weeks time.

Nicky Forster gave the visitors the lead just before the break after slotting past Town keeper Peter Brezovan to give The Albion a 1-0 lead heading into half time.

Brighton took extended their lead to 2-0 shortly after half time on 53 minutes after Michael Timlin was adjudged to have brought Stuart Fleetwood down in the box.

Up stepped Nicky Forster who slammed home the ball from the penalty spot and celebrated his goal in front of the Town End.

Town rarely threatened in the game and Simon Cox looked lethargic.

The closest Town got to any kind of chance was a Michael Timlin free kick that hit the post.

Town now sit one place above the drop zone and will have a tough two weeks with Danny Wilson already stating he wants to bring new faces in prior to the visit of Stockport County on the 10th January.

Very poor considering the situation. Zero shots on target says it all.
I think there are going to be changes happening here in personel.
