Swindon Town striker Paul Benson has returned to the County Ground following his loan spell at Portsmouth.

Benson is clearly upset his time at Pompey has ended and made it clear he wanted to remove at the cash-strapped club.

Benson had rejected an offer of a permanent move to Bradford City to link up once again with Alan Connell and is currently considering an offer from promotion chasing Cheltenham Town.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser Benson said, ‘I think Cheltenham have an offer on the table at the moment – a loan with a view to a permanent in the summer – and Swindon are quite keen for me to do that.’

It is thought that Benson wants to remain down South, hence why he rejected the move to Bradford City.
