The Swindon Advertiser is today reporting that the long drawn out despute between Adam Rooney and Swindon Town Football Club has been resolved.

Rooney enjoyed a decent spell in Wiltshire last season on loan from Birmingham City and thought they had an agreement in a two year permanent deal which would start this season.

Former Town chairman Jed McCrory disputed this saying the contract wasn’t valid and Rooney who apparently turned up for pre-season with Town was allegedly turned away.

Rooney went on to sign for Oldham Athletic before heading to Aberdeen where he has enjoyed a good spell including being named player of the month last month.

The Adver reports that a 6 figure sum has been agreed between both parties before the parties were set to go to tribunal.
