Swindon Send Two Out On Loan

Swindon Town have announced that Andy Monkhouse and Charlie Comyn-Platt have gone out on loan as the club hopes to bring new players in prior to the loan deadline.

Monkhouse was brought to Swindon by former manager Dennis Wise and was a first team regular prior to suffering a hamstring injury. Monkhouse will be travelling back up north after arriving from Rotherham United in the summer to Hartlepool United on a month`s loan.

Comyn-Platt arrived at Swindon under ex-boss Andy King prior to the 2005/06 season from Bolton Wanderers. Comyn-Platt has been out since injuring his shoulder and has seen limited action since overcoming the injury. Comyn-Platt will link up with the man who brought him to Swindon, Andy King at conference side Grays Athletic.

Manager Paul Sturrock has said both moves are one month loans to the 2 respective clubs. Sturrock also said he is close to signing, believed to be a midfielder. Sturrock has also said he is looking for a striker but has yet to be successful.
