Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper has revealed that chairman Lee Power has held initial negotiations with Wes Foderingham, Andy Williams and Nathan Thompson, whose contracts expire at the end of this season according to FLIC Wiltshire.

With Town sitting pretty in second, there is no better time to try and keep ahold of the young players who have recently gained much media attention.

Foderingham is expected to leave the club at the end of the season and head to the Championship where he would be more than capable of playing however, Town could offer him a contract that would allow him to stay in Wiltshire and leave if a decent offer was made to the club meaning it would be a win-win situation.

Most people expected Andy Williams to leave the club however the player has experienced a rich vein of form after having the belief of Cooper and Power this season and Williams had stated that he is enjoying the best time of his career.

Williams is one of the last holdovers from the Di Canio era is will be on big wages but Town will be looking to keep the player on reduced terms going forward.
