Swindon Town are back on the top of League One after beating promotion rivals Tranmere Rovers 3-1.

Whoever is writing this script needs giving an award. We have no board, no manager but are now top of the League after a spirited effort this evening.

James Collins scored for Town shortly after half time.

On seventy minutes Gary Roberts scored a cracking goal to give Town a 2-0 lead making it 7-0 on aggregate.

Tranmere would reduce the arrears on 77 minutes when Donervorn Daniels slotted home past Wes Foderingham.

Town fans would have squeaky bum time until the 93rd minute when Roberts scored his second from Swindon’s half to give Town a 3-0 win.
