Swindon Town could be set to receive a unexpected gift of close to £200,000 should Blackburn Rovers be successful in their bid to lure striker Simon Cox from West Bromwich Albion.

Cox is reported to be upset with his lack of starts at West Brom and is considering his options after returning from Euro 2012 as a member of the Irish national team.

Cox was sold to West Brom following the 2008/09 season for a fee rumoured to be around £1.5 with Town saying they ensured they put a big sell on clause thought to be around 20% as part of any future deal.
