Was he a ‘trialist’ or merely someone that ‘trained’ with Swindon? Does it really matter what terminology you use as it’s basically the same thing and the outcome for Sean Hoare could result in him being offer a Swindon deal.

As long as an agreement can be reached with the St Patrick’s Athletic player he could come to the County Ground in the New Year according to what the Swindon Advertiser understands.

Irish defender Hoare trained with the club last week with a ‘five-figure sum’ the asking price but with him out of contract with his club if an agreement can’t be reached then a tribunal would agree the fee.

Hoare has previously been on trial with Hull but ‘the asking price’ last season put them off, with Premier League and League 2 clubs Swansea and Portsmouth, respectively, also credited with an interest.

We’ll find out soon enough if he’ll join Swindon or not you suspect!
