Swindon Town`s board of directors are holding an emergency meeting after a takeover to save the club has collapsed.

Bob Holt a director at the club has previously stated there is an alternative option should the takeover collapsed however we are usure what that is.

The club is expected to release a statemenet this afternoon outlining the next step.

The club may look to enter administration again however the club would likely be denied the chance to do this. The club owes close to £2m to HM Revenue and Customs as well as £900,00 from a CVA in the Summer.

The club is in dire need of financial help otherwise there may not be a Swindon Town F.C much longer.
