Swindon Town drew 1-1 with Northampton Town today at the County Ground in a match that lacked any atmosphere.

Before the match Swindon Town introduced new signing Simon Cox to the Swindon fans who gave him a good reception. Cox was unable to play for Swindon due to a problem with a clause in Cox’s Reading contract that The Football League were not happy with.

The teams went into half time with the score at 0-0 with the game lacking any sort of energy.

Swindon would come out the better of the 2 teams at the start of the second half and took a 1-0 when Blair Sturrock, who came on for the injured Barry Corr in the first half converted a Miguel Comminges throw.

It looked as if Swindon would secure all 3 points until Adebayo Akinfenwa came on for The Cobblers and scored a goal to ensure that The Cobblers went home with a share of the points.

Overall a poor match on the field and no atmosphere in the stands today.

Is it me or are we finding it hard to stay in front once we are there?? Come on lads, could be that damn good..let’s get 3 instead of 1.

We are struggling in midfield with Easton missing. Hopefully he will be back soon. WE ARE struggling to score again but now that Cox is back that should be rectified.
