Swindon Town drew 1-1 with Boston United after conceeding a late equaliser on the 88th minute which saw Town drop another 2 points. The good news is Town move up to 2nd in League 2 thanks to results elsewhere.

Swindon deservedly took the league on the 25th minute with Andy Monkhouse scoring his first senior goal as a Swindon Town player. Monkhouse put in a good finish from a Lee Peacock headed pass.

Town came out second half and could not find the second goal that would have secured the win. Royce Brownlie missed a couple of decent chances.

Town got a boost when Boston’ Francis Green was sent off on 69 minutes after picking up his second yellow card of the match after a scuffle with Swindon’s Ady Williams.

Town increased their attacking options by bringing on Fola Onibuje who failed to covert a few headers.

Swindon had looked as if they had secured the 3 points until Dany N’Guessan scored a stunning late volley in the 88th minute to silence the Swindon faithful. The game ended 1-1.

After the match Dennis Wise promised that because the players had not put in the effort during the game, they would not get a day off and will be made to work very hard before their trip to Accrington Stanley next weekend.
