Swindon Town drew 1-1 with Boston United after conceeding a late equaliser on the 88th minute which saw Town drop another 2 points. The good news is Town move up to 2nd in League 2 thanks to results elsewhere.
Swindon deservedly took the league on the 25th minute with Andy Monkhouse scoring his first senior goal as a Swindon Town player. Monkhouse put in a good finish from a Lee Peacock headed pass.
Town came out second half and could not find the second goal that would have secured the win. Royce Brownlie missed a couple of decent chances.
Town got a boost when Boston’ Francis Green was sent off on 69 minutes after picking up his second yellow card of the match after a scuffle with Swindon’s Ady Williams.
Town increased their attacking options by bringing on Fola Onibuje who failed to covert a few headers.
Swindon had looked as if they had secured the 3 points until Dany N’Guessan scored a stunning late volley in the 88th minute to silence the Swindon faithful. The game ended 1-1.
After the match Dennis Wise promised that because the players had not put in the effort during the game, they would not get a day off and will be made to work very hard before their trip to Accrington Stanley next weekend.
Things have started to stumble slightly for you havent they. You should still be up there by the end.
I am happy it is at the beginning as opposed to the end of the season. With a bit of luck we will pick it up again once we get another win.
